Glass fiber is a kind of inorganic non-metallic material with excellent performance, with a wide variety of advantages, such as good insulation, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength, but its disadvantages are brittleness and poor wear resistance. Characteristic:
1. It is used between low temperature - 196 ℃ and high temperature 300 ℃, with weather resistance.
2. Non-adhesive, not easy to adhere to any substance.
3. It is resistant to chemical corrosion, strong acid, alkali, aqua regia and various organic solvents.
4. Low friction coefficient is the best choice for oil-free self-lubrication.
5. The light transmittance reaches 6-13%.
6. It has high insulation performance, anti-ultraviolet and anti-static.
7. High strength. It has good mechanical characteristics.
8. Drug resistance.
Classification:
1. According to composition: mainly medium alkali, non-alkali, high alkali (it is to classify the composition of alkali metal oxide in glass fiber), and of course, there are also other components.
2. According to the manufacturing process: crucible drawing and tank furnace drawing.
3. According to varieties: there are ply yarn, direct yarn, jet yarn, etc.
In addition, it is distinguished by single fiber diameter, TEX number, twist and sizing agent type.
